Green Tea

Chinese green teas differ from Japanese green teas in that after being picked and withered, the tealeaves undergo a pan-frying or roasting rather than being steamed.

This stops the leaf from further oxidising and gives green tea its colour and helps give them a slightly more nutty flavour.

Contrary to popular belief, green tea in general has a higher caffeine content than red/black tea. Combined with a subtle bitterness and astringency, they’re a great way to invigorate and refresh body and mind, in the morning or afternoon.
