SUMMARY

Type: Raw Pu'er Tea
Cultivar: Da Ye Zhong (大葉種)
Origin: Daxueshan Mountain, Yongde, Lincang, Yunnan, China

Herbal, Menthol, Honey

An aged Raw Pu'erh made from young, Spring 2009 wild tree leaves from Daxueshan Shan, and pressed into cakes in 2016. Having been aged for over a decade since its initial production has allowed this tea to develop a more mellow, rounded and mature flavour, especially when compared to younger, fresher Raw Pu'er teas.

TASTING NOTES

A smooth and luscious tea with a herbaceous character and cooling hints of menthol. That signature Raw Pu'erh bitterness has matured and mellowed out with age.

STORAGE

Proper tea storage is super important. Improper storage leads to flat, flavourless and potentially weird tasting tea. So as a rule of thumb, keep your tea leaves in an airtight container (the less air inside the better) and away from heat, light, moisture and strong odours.
