SUMMARY

Type: Green Tea
Origin: Enshi County, Hubei, China

Vegetal, Seaweed, Grassy

Welcome to Misty Pine, where the tea is green and the mountains are, well...misty.

Most Chinese green teas are dry heated during the "sha ching" or "killing the green" step of tea processing to more or less stop the tea's oxidation, hence the green colour of the leaves. This tea however has been steamed during that step, giving it a more vegetal and seaweed-like flavour profile, similar to how Japanese green teas are made.

TASTING NOTES

A light to medium strength Green tea that has a light marine, seaweed-like aroma and flavour notes of steamed leafy greens with light, grassy undertones.

 Gong-Fu style

  4g per 150ml of water
  80 – 85 degrees Celsius

 Cold Brew

STORAGE

Proper tea storage is super important. Improper storage leads to flat, flavourless and potentially weird tasting tea. So as a rule of thumb, keep your tea leaves in an airtight container (the less air inside the better) and away from heat, light, moisture and strong odours.
