In Chinese mythology, the gourd or "Hulu" is a powerful symbol of health, longevity, fertility, and cosmic connection, often appearing in myths as a vessel for medicine, a portal to other worlds, and a source of life in creation/flood stories, representing universe and protection against evil spirits. This teapot takes inspiration from this ancient symbol.

Textured and rustic, yet elegant and precise. These are the traits and qualities of Luo Zhi Min's unique and one-of-a-kind teapots. Every teapot piece is sculpted and carefully hand-built from porous Yunnan Jianshui clay. The vessel is unglazed, giving a very unique, raw and natural look and feel to the teapot.

While we recommend that you dedicate this teapot to brew one type of tea, Yunnan Jianshui clay isn't as porous as Yixing Zisha clay and as such, it is perfectly acceptable to brew different types of teas with the same teapot. Just ensure that you rinse and clean it thoroughly before brewing with a different tea. 

Usage and care:
To clean between uses, simply rinse the teapot with hot water and air dry. DO NOT use any soaps or detergents when cleaning the teapot.
