Iron Goddess aka Tie Guan Yin (铁观音) Oolong tea is a ball-rolled Oolong from Anxi County in Southern Fujian. Named after "Guanyin," the Goddess of Mercy venerated by Mahayana Buddhists, it is one of the most famous types of Chinese teas. While the more widely available and popular versions of this tea tend to be a greener style of Oolong, this particular one leans more toward the darker, more roasted style.

A gentle grain-like aroma followed by flavour notes of toasted grains and slight woodiness. A medium to full bodied tea with a satisfying mouth-fill and light floral hints.

Proper tea storage is super important. Improper storage leads to flat, flavourless and potentially weird tasting tea. So as a rule of thumb, keep your tea leaves in an airtight container (the less air inside the better) and away from heat, light, moisture and strong odours.
