Morning sun dries rain
Pure, round droplets, vanish
Ripples dance in breeze

An ode to the morning, the design for the Qing Yuan zisha teapot was inspired by dawn after a night’s rain. The name "Qing Yuan" literally translates to "Clean and Round." The body shape is similar to the classic “Fang Gu” style teapot, with additional design details added to the lid and top of the pot. When looking top-down at the teapot, the design resembles a rain droplet hitting the water, creating a ripple that cascades out to form the body of the teapot.

With a wide opening and shorter body, this Yixing zisha teapot is suitable for brewing strip-style or rolled Oolongs and black teas. At approx. 120ml capacity, it’s the perfect pot for solo gong-fu sessions or, sessions with small groups of 2-3 people.

Usage and care:
Rinse and season the teapot before use. Here's a quick guide to show you how. As the clay is porous and teapot is unglazed, dedicate one tea type per pot (or if you wish to take it to the next level, dedicate only one tea per pot). Hand-wash only with water and NEVER EVER wash with soap or detergent. The last thing you want is soapy suds flavouring your next brew.
